Prayer of the Righteous Does Avail Much

This is my prayer today. py thomas

ABBA Father, who is in Heaven, I reverence, worship and bless Your name.  I enter your gates with thanksgiving and Your courts with praise in the name that is above every name; the name that has prevailed victoriously over sin and death;  the name of the author and finisher of my faith; the name of my salvation, the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Thank You most of all for the assurance that my name has been written down in the Lamb’s Book of Life!  HalleluYAH!

Thank You for the authority to battle against the controlling powers of witchcraft, that attack myself and others of the covenant of salvation continuously.  Help us to remember always that the Adversary has already been defeated and can only bring confusion and lies.  Let us stand on the Truth of Your Word – the entire counsel of Your Word, for You alone are Sovereign and Holy.

It is written in Your word, that whatever I bind in earth, is bound in Heaven.  Therefore, in Yeshua’s awesome and mighty name, I bind every negative, unscriptural word spoken against my life and the lives of my brothers and sisters in Yeshua. I bind the power of confusion, torment, fear, control and manipulation in my life and the lives of my brothers and sisters in Yeshua. I take captive every vain imagination and high thought that is contrary to the Word of YHVH in my life that would dare to exalt itself over the knowledge and truth of Your Word O Most High and Holy God.

I submit my will, thoughts and life to the lordship of the Messiah Yeshua that I might be conformed into His image, my mind renewed to mirror His thoughts, and continued submission to obedience that I might be holy as He is holy.

With the same power and authority that raised the Lord Yeshua from the grave, I ask You Heavenly Father to break the power of witchcraft’s deception, seduction, sorcery and intimidation, knowing that at the name of Yeshua, demons tremble and every knee must bow.

I ask you Lord ADONAI for discernment, wisdom and the application of Your Word so that I am free and remain free  from dark powers, false prophetic words, controllers, manipulators, sorcerers, witches, counterfeits, soulish ties, spiritual folly, soothsayers, lying spirits, lying dreams and visions.  For it is written, whom the Son Yeshua has free is free indeed!  It is written that I am more than  a conqueror in Yeshua the Messiah.  It is written that greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world.

I thank You Lord ADONAI for Your promise never to leave me, and never to forsake me; and that You are Yehovah Shamah, my ever present help in my time of need, in my time of trouble.  You are my provider, my comforter, my healer, my deliverer! You go before me and fight all of my battles.  I thank You for Your divine favor, Your correction and rebuke when I’m wrong.  I thank You for being counted worthy to suffer for Yeshua’s sake that I might carry Your testimonies.  HalleluYAH!

I thank for the trials and tests that teach me about what is in me, and what needs to be removed from my life, because You have promised to complete every good work YOU have begun in each of us; and that is the good work of salvation!  HalleluYAH!

I thank You for Your refining fire that is burning out of me everything that is not like You.

There is none like You Lord ADONAI in all the Heavens and the earth!  You alone are worthy to be praised!

I ask for forgiveness of sin, both known and unknown, and submit myself thoroughly to the Lordship of Yeshua the Messiah and His word.

Thank You for Your provision of Your whole armor and for teaching me what it is and how it is to operate in my life.  So therefore, help me to be mindful to don myself in the whole armor of God daily, as the weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but mighty in the pulling down of strongholds, especially those strongholds that hide in my faith and attempt to strangle and confuse the truth of Your Word in me and my brothers and sisters in Yeshua.

I dedicate myself to the will of Yeshua the Messiah alone for my life.

Lord ADONAI, Your Word says, “If I confess my sins You are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and cleanse me of all unrighteousness.”  I pray for the Body of Messiah that we all come to the place to confess and renounce the sins of rebellion, pride, arrogance, control, manipulation, vain desires, wrong associations that carry the sin of rebellion, which is witchcraft’s message of false motives and hidden agendas; and ask for  Your divine influence of grace that we might not be ensnared and rightly discern with Your Godly wisdom that You give freely to all who ask.

Help us to stand and wait quietly not just with our lips being still, but with the quietness of the peace You give to those who keep their minds focused and trained on You while waiting for the salvation of ADONAI.

Thank You YHVH in that You said You would never leave me nor forsake me, even to the end of the age, that I can be of good courage because You are with me.  Lord Yeshua you are my Shepherd, and
therefore I shall have no lack.  Thank You.

You alone are holy; You are the true and living God – You who sits high and looks low, considering the hearts of men.  Thank You for being mindful of us and faithful to us, even in our times of faithlessness.

As prophesized by Your true prophets, I pray that Isra’el will come to know Yeshua the Messiah and that the Church (Judah) will return to Your law and commandments, that we would be made one, just as Yeshua is one with You O Most High.  I pray for those who are truly pressing towards the high mark of their calling, and continue to give us greater understanding of what that calling is and the revelation of Your Word that we might work out our salvation in the earth realm in preparation of eternity with You!  Truly Your mercy endures forever.

I bless You YHVH in the awesome, mighty and strong name of Yeshua, our Redeemer!  Amein, Amen & A-men!

When Atonement is Blind & Faith Is Dead

Got Loopholes? You’ve Got Rebellion & Lost Sight of Atonement
by py thomas

What’s Special about Today.  Today is the one of the most holy high day and Shabbat (Sabbath) called the Day of Atonement aka Yom Kippur.  It is a day we are called to fast and consider the great mercy of YHVH when He sent His Son Yeshua to die in our place for our sin so that we would no longer be separated from YHVH, and could receive forgiveness.  Let us not take forgiveness of sin for granted, but examine ourselves in light of YHVH’s Word, and not in the dim and shadowy light of our own understandings and thinking.

27 “Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. 28 And you shall do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God.  (Leviticus 23:27-28)

The word “atonement” in this passage of scripture is referenced in the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance  [3725] – is the Hebrew word “kippur” (pronounced “kip-poor’”); from [3722]; expiation (only in plur.): - atonement.  “Kippur” is a root of [3722], the Hebrew word “kaphar” (pronounced “kaw-far’”); a prim. root; to cover, to placate or cancel: - appease, make an atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (iliation).

Atonement is YHVH’s expression of His mercy towards us.  Not giving us what we truly deserve.  For had He gave us what we truly deserved, it would have been eternal death for our sin.  No chances, no “get out of jail free card,” no nothing.  But do we consider this daily?  It is in the daily consideration that will keep us humble before our Holy God, ELOHIM.

What’s Really Going on Today.  We are already seeing the results of the Church (born-again believers in Yeshua (Jesus) )not observing and keeping YHVH’s High Holy days.  It is by repetition that we learn and remember.  If the Body of Yeshua the Messiah (the Church) observed the Day of Atonement, there would be less focus on the political and worldly news; and more focus on the Good News of the Gospel of Salvation and what that truly means on a personal level as well as on a corporate level within the Body of the Messiah.  We would annually remember, just as we annually now remember the Holocaust, September 11th and other notable dates in history.

We have instead replaced the adherence of observing His special observances (holy-days) with our special daily observance, which I call “I Don’t Want to be Accountable.”  For instance, I recently read an article about a woman of is now dedicating her life to find some legal recourse to pursue her ex-boyfriend for taking nude photos of her  (that she gave to him while they were dating) and posting them online on a “revenge” website for jilted ex-lovers.    Now for many of those who have been victim of this will scream, “Yeah!  Go after him girl!  Sue him for all you can!”  However, let’s take a step back to the root of the problem…

1.       Can we spell fornication?

2.       How do you spell sexual immorality?

3.       Should we be taking nude photos and giving them to someone to begin with (especially to someone that you’re not in committed relationship with (i.e. marriage))?

4.       Why do we leave evidence for it to publicly testify against us later, whether it comes from a jilted lover or spouse; or if it’s in a format that resides on a computer or smart phone that is stolen or sold that can be accessed by others?

When we don’t exercise modesty and have made physical intimacy into a carnal lust act, what do you expect?  Physical intimacy is supposed to be expressed in the context of marriage between a man and a woman as it was in the beginning (read about it in Genesis 2:18-24); and for us to be fruitful and multiply to bring forth/raise Godly offspring/children –

15 But did He not make them one,
Having a remnant of the Spirit?
And why one?
He seeks godly offspring.
Therefore take heed to your spirit,
And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth. (Malachi 2:15)

This is like when one gets a sexually transmitted disease, it testifies against the persons involved – because there has been more than just a husband and wife involved who are (supposed to be) one, but have been with others.

My Personal Confession & Testimony.  It is our lapse of memory and consideration of the consequences of our actions that we make these poor decisions in the heat of the moment (no pun intended) that can find us out later.  We all know from personal experience that this is true.  I number myself among the guilty.  However, like some of you, I believed YHVH’s promise that 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” (1 John 8:9-10)  I was named as a “woman at the well” who met Yeshua in the midst of her many sins, but thankfully received forgiveness.

What’s Needed for Today.  If we adhere to the commandments for the observances that YHVH establishes (His weekly Sabbath and the other ordinances He has given), then we are reminded of the necessity to keep our sinful flesh in check; and ever increase the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives to exercise the needed restraint to protect ourselves from ourselves.  YHVH is merciful and long-suffering in that He has provided us with a plan (covenant) to protect us, while preparing and teaching us how to be restored to the place of what He originally created in the beginning, holiness and eternal life with Him; just as Adam walked with Him in the Garden of Eden before sin entered in.  SELAH.

Since the spirit of the anti-Messiah (Christ) has so effectively infiltrated the Church, many of YHVH’s people have been fooled into believing that the commandments given in the beginning are no longer necessary to observe nor keep.  Really?

Rationales:  Why YHVH’s Laws & Commandments Aren’t Good Enough For You.  Why wouldn’t we want to keep that which has been given to us to help us to become holy?  YHVH’s word is what kept Yeshua while He was on earth after He had taken on the same sinful flesh that we have to contend with.

 If the laws and commandments of YHVH were holy and good enough for Yeshua and for YHVH’s covenant with His chosen people, why isn’t it good enough or worth consideration for us?  Hmmm.  Could it be that we think we know better than YHVH?  Could it be our true god is in our bellies and driven by our carnal appetites?  Or could it be we disagree with our Creator & Judge, ELOHIM that our bodies are not the temple of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) and we can therefore do anything with our bodies that we please without regard to YHVH?  Remember, nowadays many self-professed Christians, Believers, Saints  love to say:

·         “It’s my body I can do what I want to it, besides I’m not hurting anyone“

·         “It’s  a woman’s body, her choice so she can consent to the murder of the innocent life in her womb”  (But not without consequences – adverse ones to boot.  Those men and women who have consented to this, have many regrets, scars and deep rooted pain.)

·         Or as it relates to tattoos and body piercings, “they are an expression of who I am, plus I’ve tattooed Yeshua (Jesus’) name on me and my mother’s name…”   Yet, YHVH says, “28 You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.” Leviticus 19:28)

The True Agents of Legalism Exposed.  So grievous is that the list of excuses and search for loopholes goes on and on.  This is the true expression of  “ legalism,” the search for loopholes not to obey YHVH’s laws, commandments, statutes and precepts; and thereby creating your own statutes and “traditions of men.”  Satan has so confused the Body of Messiah to think that obeying the laws and commandments of YHVH is legalism…

Its one thing to do the sinful things I’ve cited in the preceding paragraph when we were not in covenant relationship with YHVH.  But it is an altogether different situation once we’ve entered into the covenant of salvation with YHVH and do and practice these things.  How we grieve the Holy Spirit in our rebellion…and to think that we the sons and daughters of the covenant of salvation have Yeshua not only our Savior, but as an example of how to obey, yet, we have ignored.

One of the Adversary the devil’s shrewdest assaults on the minds of the sons and daughters of salvation, is his influencing our thoughts to think they can willfully sin and not be held accountable.  At that moment, we can reject the thought and resist the temptation of the sin of rebellion.  However many times we don’t resist the temptation.  (I mean, isn’t it hard to resist that which we refuse to acknowledge sin?)

Our Need & YHVH’s Provision.  If we would be honest with ourselves and YHVH, we would see that this points to our NEED to walk in close relationship with YHVH because of our carnal sinful natures.  We would subsequently welcome His commandments to obey Him and observe the ordinances He has set in place that keep us on the straight and narrow path that leads to salvation.  But again, when we make ourselves the authority, let me warn you that you better put on your seatbelts and expect a rocky and hard ride before you crash and have a near death experience.

The Word truly attests to the wide road that leads to destruction that many of the sons and daughters of the covenant of salvation are on, because of their continuous rebellion and rejection of the whole counsel of YHVH’s word.  The influence and manifestation of the deep-rooted corruption of sin and wicked strongholds that hide in our faith, is that we want to be “fully” saved, but only want to partially obey.  This is why it’s hard for us to see the strongholds of the enemy of our souls, is because he has strategically hidden right in our faith.

So what are we going to do about this conundrum we find ourselves in?  It’s time for us to face our Damascus road - the crossroad of choices and decisions we make going forward (see Acts 9:1-16 to learn about Saul of Tarsus’ conversion to opposing Yeshua to serving Yeshua).  If you are alive today, that means you still have the breath of the spirit, which YHVH breathed into you when He made your soul come alive and into existence as stated in the beginning:

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. (Genesis 2:7)

If you allow the work of the Holy Spirit to truly teach you all things, then many of the things we say, do and post on social media will take a dramatic change and more reflect that you are truly in a personal relationship with YHVH through Yeshua, as you will have the testimonies of YHVH, the boldness to share and the ability to rightly divide/discern and apply the Word of YHVH in your life and be a vessel that impacts others for YHVH’s kingdom.

Yeshua tells us in John 16:7-14:

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. 8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; 11 of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.  (John 16:7-14)

Alternatively, you can choose to remain in the state you are, seek loopholes for not being accountable for your acts of rebellion against YHVH’s laws and commandments (when you are convicted in your spirit), and try to explain your faulty rationalizations before a Holy God, ELOHIM on the impending Judgment Day.

We all need to work out our own salvation – none of us are exempt who have entered into the covenant of salvation.  To fail or ignore to do so is what it means to take Yeshua’s name in vain – the name that YHVH has placed over all names in the heavens and in the earth.  I don’t know about you, but as for me, I ‘m not big enough or bad enough to challenge YHVH…my frame is dust and I’m nothing apart from Yeshua’s righteousness.

Corrupt people and governments of this world is only a symptom of the bigger problem, SIN.  Yeshua and your submission to obedience is your only answer.  This is my personal testimony as well…as I was the woman at the well in the midst of my many sins when I met the one I had heard about and found Him to be faithful and true, Yeshua the atonement for our sin.

I pray that this message will help those who have ears to hear and eyes to see, be released from the bondage of sin on this holy Shabbat – The Day of Atonement.

Symbolic Repentance vs True Repentance - What's the Difference?

The Blogger’s Preface
If anything in this post impacts or cuts you straight to your heart, do not delay, but pray immediately.  Confess your sin and be forgiven, have your mind renewed and transformed.  Be set free from the bondage.  I know what I’m talking about, as I have had to go through this process along with others who are truly seeking YHVH, and willing to trust Him to the point of not just studying His Word, but to apply it to our lives.  It’s a lifetime endeavor – the pursuit of holiness.  I have absolutely no regrets and found that the One (YHVH) who has promised us, is more than able, faithful and just to keep His Word.  His Word is manifested in His Son, Yeshua.

I have learned that YHVH is quick to forgive, but it is us who is slow to confess our sin.  May the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) be welcome in your lives to infiltrate and take over everything that is not like Yeshua or Messiah.
In the mighty, powerful and awesome name of Yeshua, the King of kings, Lord of Lords!

Symbolic Repentance of Sin, or True Repentance thru Yeshua?
by py thomas
© September 10, 2013

Many who are in covenant relationship with YHVH have only symbolically repented of sin. I say this because I often hear them say things like, “nobody’s perfect,” yet we are called to be perfected by our submission to obedience; or “it doesn’t take all of that and besides Jesus did it all.” Yes, Yeshua (Jesus) did show us the path to righteousness, and He’s supposed to be our leader, yet we don’t want to follow His examples. It’s not a matter that we haven’t been equipped to resist sin, it’s a matter of we don’t want to resist sin and put our carnal flesh to death.

Many of YHVH’s people knowingly will receive stolen goods, for instance like get “free” cable because they have a “special hook-up”or purchase bootlegged music, movies and software. Excuse me, isn’t that stealing? Taking something from someone else without their permission and not paying for it to boot!

Those who enjoy pornography rationalize this sin by saying things like, “it’s not like I’m doing those things, I’m just watching; or my spouse and I watch it to improve our intimacy.” If we watch the porn, we are equally as guilty as those who perform and produce it. Read Romans 1:18-32for yourselves. YHVH is very clear in that the manifestation of sexual immorality is when He gives one over to the lustful and vile thoughts they have. None is without excuse:

20For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (Romans 1:20-21)

24Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

26For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. (Romans 1:24-26)

Our Fingers Point At Us As We Point At Others. I know this is a tough message to hear. The Word of YHVH is indeed sharper than a two-edge sword that pierces us through straight to our hearts – our “desperately wicked hearts” in need of circumcision, transplants and blood transfusions from Yeshua. Without Yeshua, we are ALL doomed, including me.

The sobering reminder that is like a reality check cannonball to me (and a needed one I might add) is the humbling reminder in 1 Corinthians 6:11, “And such were some of you...”

8 Instead, you yourselves wrong and cheat; and you do it to your own brothers! 9 Don’t you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t delude yourselves — people who engage in sex before marriage, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse, who engage in active or passive homosexuality, 10 who steal, who are greedy, who get drunk, who assail people with contemptuous language, who rob —none of them will share in the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you used to do these things. But you have cleansed yourselves, you have been set apart for God, you have come to be counted righteous through the power of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah and the Spirit of our God.

12 You say,“For me, everything is permitted”? Maybe, but not everything is helpful. “For me, everything is permitted”? Maybe, but as far as I am concerned, I am not going to let anything gain control over me.

YHVH’s Word has a check and balance system so that we don’t fall into the trap of thinking more of ourselves than we should. We need the constant reminders. I’ve found in my own personal walk of faith the closer I draw to YHVH, the more I need to be checked. Our sinful flesh is always at war with us. We easily forget that we have been just as guilty of those same actions. From the beginning, YHVH kept His appointed in check, even to the point of letting those who insisted in going in the way of rebelling of falling to be an example and warning to us and others.

1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (Romans 12:1-3)

Symbolic Repentance – A Form of Godliness Without Any Power. There is nowhere in Scripture that “symbolic repentance” will provide us with the needed forgiveness and restoration from sin we have in and through Yeshua’s shed blood, death and resurrection.

Without forgiveness of sin, a person is separated from YHVH. Are you a symbolic Messianic Believer/Christian–“ …having a form of godliness, yet denying its power And from such people turn away!”(2 Timothy 3:5); or are you one who’s heart has truly become circumcised?

“Therefore circumcise the foreskin of your heart, and be stiff-necked no longer.” (Deut. 10:16)

6Then Adonai your God will circumcise your hearts and the hearts of your children, so that you will love Adonai your God with all your heart and all your being, and thus you will live.” (Deut. 30:6)

Just as there is only right and wrong in YHVH’s economy, there are only two types of people. A person is either an unbeliever (unrepentant sinner); or one who has made the confession of faith in Yeshua and entered into the covenant of salvation. There is no in between.

Likewise, we either believe Yeshua’s death and resurrection is the only acceptable sacrifice for our sin, or it’s not. For many of people of Hebrew descent who are not in the covenant of salvation through Yeshua, subscribe to “tashlikh,”which is a symbolic act of repenting from sin. This tradition is just as foolish as Christians trying prop up and justify the observances of pagan holidays by weaving some scripture into it. We are not to mix that which is holy with that which is profane. Any more so than living like the devil, and coming to offer song or a preached word without repentance of sin. Symbolic repentance has no scriptural basis, even though this ritualistic practice includes the reading of the prophet Micah. This is a prime example of men trying to define how they are going to be reconciled back to YHVH instead of simply obeying what He stated.

Here’s some background on how “tashlikh” came about:

On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, before sunset, Jews traditionally proceed to a body of running water, preferably one containing fish, and symbolically cast off (tashlikh) their sins. The ceremony includes reading the source passage for the practice, the last verses from the prophet Micah (7:19), "He will take us back in love; He will cover up our iniquities. You will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea."

Selections from Psalms, particularly 118 and 130, along with supplications and a kabbalistic prayer hoping God will treat Israel with mercy, are parts of tashlikh in various communities. The custom developed around the 13th century and became widespread despite objections from rabbis who feared superstitious people would believe that tashlikh, rather than the concerted effort of teshuvah, had the power to change their lives. Religious leaders were particularly opposed to the practice of tossing bread crumbs, representing sins, the water, and even shaking one's garments to loosen any evil clinging to them was discouraged.

Superstitious rites most likely did influence ceremony. Primitive people believed that the best way to win favor from evil spirits living in waterways was to give them gifts. Some peoples, including the Babylonian Jews, sent "sin‑filled" containers out into the water.

Albeit YHVH is merciful to Isra’el and those unrepentant, His mercy is purely extended that they would come to full faith and accept Yeshua as the promised Messiah. So we see just as in the Jewish culture, and like many of the modern day Christians, they have integrated paganism in their worship of YHVH and sadly have a blindness in their spirit that would lead them to expect YHVH to embrace this profaned worship. If YHVH is holy, then why would He accept that which is unholy and its origins are of the devil? If we couldn’t enter into His presence because of sin, why do we think after we’ve entered the covenant of salvation that we can approach YHVH in any manner? Really?

It’s either of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) the truth, or it’s of the anti-Messiah (anti-Christ) the liar. Life or death. This is why Yeshua dealt so strongly with the Pharisees and their traditions – their ungodly traditions, rules and regulations that they didn’t even obey, nor follow.

Once in the covenant of salvation and sealed with the promise of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit), we are now equipped to say “no” to sin. Sin no longer can rule us, unless we choose to surrender to sin. True repentance versus symbolic repentance has a lasting and life-changing impact on our lives. When a person not only enters into the covenant of salvation, but submits to the lordship and authority of YHVH, they will follow the example of Yeshua.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with feelings of compassion and with kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with one another; if anyone has a complaint against someone else, forgive him. Indeed, just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive. (Colossians 3:12-13)

Symbolic Repentance – The Unfruitful Harvest of the Traditions of Men. It is the traditions of men that yield the unfruitful harvest of symbolic repentance. It absolutely carries no weight, validity; or can reconcile fallen (sinful) man back to their Creator, ELOHIM. As a matter of fact, Yeshua addresses the Pharisees and some of the scribes who had the audacity to try and cite “their” traditions as a futile attempt to bring false accusations against Yeshua’s disciples in Mark 7:1-13 and Isaiah 29:13.

13 Then Adonaisaid:

“Because these people approach Me with empty words,
and the honor they bestow on Me is mere lip-service;
while in fact they have distanced their hearts from Me,
and their ‘fear of Me’ is just a mitzvah [command] of human origin — (Isaiah 29:13)

The P’rushim[Pharisees] and some of the Torah-teachers[scribes] who had come from Yerushalayim [Jerusalem] gathered together with Yeshua 2 and saw that some of His talmidim [disciples] ate with ritually unclean hands, that is, without doing n’tilat-yadayim. 3 (For the P’rushim, and indeed all the Judeans [Jews], holding fast to the Tradition of the Elders, do not eat unless they have given their hands a ceremonial washing. 4 Also, when they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they have rinsed their hands up to the wrist; and they adhere to many other traditions, such as washing cups, pots and bronze vessels.)

5 The P’rushimand the Torah-teachers asked him, “Why don’t your talmidim live in accordance with the Tradition of the Elders, but instead eat with ritually unclean hands?” 6 Yeshua answered them, “Yesha‘yahu [Isaiah} was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites — as it is written,

‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far away from me.
7 Their worship of me is useless,
because they teach man-made rules as if they were doctrines.’

8“You depart from God’s command and hold onto human tradition. 9 Indeed,” He said to them, “you have made a fine art of departing from God’s command in order to keep your tradition! 10For Moshe [Moses] said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and ‘Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.11 But you say, ‘If someone says to his father or mother, “I have promised as a korban” ’ ” (that is, as a gift to God) “ ‘ “what I might have used to help you,” ’ 12 then you no longer let him do anything for his father or mother. 13 Thus, with your tradition which you had handed down to you, you nullify the Word of God! And you do other things like this.” (Mark 7:1-13)

More Dangers of the Traditions of Men – The Great Apostasy. Traditions of men are the doorway to the Apostasy –the falling away from Torah (the Law). This battle has been ongoing since the Law was first given. Satan knows that if we don’t keep the Law and Commandments of YHVH is that it will show that our love of YHVH and Yeshua is not true. YHVH requires obedience, not sacrifice, nor our humanistic sympathies about sin. If you doubt me, read it for yourself in John 14:21-28. The admonishment is coming directly from the author and finisher of our faith, Yeshua the Son of YHVH. He’s the authority – not me, not you, but Him.

But in connection with the coming of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah and our gathering together to meet him, we ask you, brothers, 2 not to be easily shaken in your thinking or anxious because of a spirit or a spoken message or a letter supposedly from us claiming that the Day of the Lord has already come. 3Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way.

For the Day will not come until after the Apostasy has come and the man who separates himself from Torahhas been revealed, the one destined for doom.
(2 Thessalonians 2:1-3)

Isra’el was warned first, as they like the Messianic community (the Church) have rejected the Law (Torah) and have gone in their own way of the traditions of men, loaded down with everything but the full truth and full counsel of YHVH's Word.

“Put the shofar to your lips!
Like a vulture [he swoops down] on the house of Adonai,
because they have violated my covenant
and sinned intentionally against my Torah.
2 Will they cry out to me,
‘We are Isra’el, God, we know you’?
3
Isra’el has thrown away what is good;
the enemy will pursue him.
(Hosea 8:1-3)

Wisdom is truth, and the truth is YHVH Word. It calls out to us in YHVH’s long-suffering patience with us and warns us how our refusal to submit to the Law and commandments of YHVH (not men) will lead many on the path of salvation down the broad path that leads to destruction. Yeshua is talking about those who have entered the covenant of salvation. The following scripture is a firm admonishment from Yeshua that the gate to salvation is indeed narrow (and you’ll most likely be considered “narrow-minded” by many (even within the “Beloved;” however, take that as a compliment and not an offense).

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (Matthew 7:13-15)

Contrary to the doctrines and traditions of men, the covenant of salvation is going to cost each of us something as well – it’s going to cost us our obedience, willingness to die to self daily, be persecuted for His namesake; and be hated by the world as the world hated Yeshua. This great love that was demonstrated to us by YHVH through Yeshua, which allows us to be forgiven of sin and no longer separated from YHVH because of sin, should motivate us to serve Him, His way.

Sin carries dire consequences – eternal death. For me personally, nothing in this life is worth that.

3 For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. 4 Yes, they will stop listening to the truth, but will turn aside to follow myths.

5 But you, remain steady in every situation, endure suffering, do the work that a proclaimer of the Good News should, and do everything your service to God requires. (2 Timothy 4:3-5)

So grievous is this same faulty rationale mindset that many sons and daughters of the covenant of salvation let their emotions become their god, resulting in subverting profaning that which is holy, with their carnal and ungodly thinking – leaning to their own understanding instead of acknowledging YHVH in ALL of their ways (all of our ways includes our thinking, choices we make; and ALL that concerns us).

5 Trust in Adonai with all your heart;
do not rely on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him;
then he will level your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Selah.

Is Peace A Myth or Truth?

Peace, Is It A Myth or Truth?
by py thomas

There is no peace for Isra’el apart from Yeshua reckoning man back to YHVH through His shed blood.  Without Yeshua, sin will continue to reign like the terrorist it is.  Without Yeshua there is no “peace that surpasses all human understanding;” there is no joy of YHVH being our strength.  There is no peace when we are weak, yet not allowing Yeshua’s death and resurrection to be our strength.

Do we even know what and why we say pray for the peace of Jerusalem? Do we know how the peace of Jerusalem is supposed to come about; and why it’s such a priority?

How will there be peace for Isra’el apart from the Prince of Peace, Yeshua prophesized in Isaiah 9:6-7

6 For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

There has been a call since the beginning  - a call to peace,  a call to completeness and oneness with our Creator, ELOHIM.  The new Jerusalem will encompass the full manifestation of that peace we pray for.  It is my prayer that we won’t pray in ignorance, but with understanding.

5 For thrones are set there for judgment,
The thrones of the house of David.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
7 Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.” (Psalm 122:5-7)

Peace in Isaiah 9:6 and Psalm 122:6 is the same  [7965] – Hebrew word, “shalom” from [7999] (shalam);  a prim. root; to be safe (in mind, body or estate) – to be completed.  Yeshua is the completion of our redemption and faith for both the Gentiles grafted into the “olive branch.”

16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. (Romans 11:16-18)

Likewise, Isra’el is to also receive the same redemption, forgiveness and deliverance from the bondage of sin through Yeshua.  The Church and Isra’el will be intertwined through Yeshua and the Torah.   This intertwining is the “completing” peace that we will be partakers of through the covenant of salvation.  We are further reminded that YHWH’s plan of salvation comes with the promise that 6 And I am sure of this: that the One who began a good work among you will keep it growing until it is completed on the Day of the Messiah Yeshua. (Philippians 1:6).    And that good work is the work of salvation – the transformation and the renewing of YHWH’s right spirit within the sons and daughters of the covenant of salvation so that we come to the place of surrender to obedience – “to be holy as He is holy.”

If the beginning of wisdom is the fear of YHWH, what is the completion of wisdom?  The completion is the application of what wisdom teaches us.

As much we love and support Isra’el, are we willing to see that they like us are NOT exempt from the consequences of the sin of rebellion.  YHWH would not be a righteous and holy God if He did not judge sin; nor chastise/discipline those that are in covenant relationship with Him and that He loves.  By examining Isra’el, we must examine ourselves as well.  Many of us who are in the covenant of salvation would do well to start with 1 Corinthian 6 (myself included).

We say we love the YHWH and Yeshua, yet many ignore what Yeshua spoke to us about love in John 14:21-24 (read it).  The Shofar is being blown at sunset today to usher in a New Year.  Will it be a new year for correction?  There is  a call going out in the spirit realm – a call to repentance to the sons and daughters in covenant relationship with YHWH for both Isra’el  and the born-again in Yeshua.

Yeshua reminds us that:

 "26 But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand." (John 10:26-28).

If we are not Yeshua’s we are not hearing His voice calling to us, and thus, are not truly following Him.  For those of us who are His sheep, this is a reminder that there are truly goats that dwell among us, and wisdom says that perhaps we should readjust some of our expectations of others.  Selah.

The Holy Spirit will teach us all things if we avail ourselves to be teachable.  Or we can be like some of those “happy Christians” and never allow the transforming work of the death and resurrection of Yeshua the Messiah to become the fruit of righteousness in our lives.  For those who choose the latter, they will never know the true “completing” peace of YHWH, nor understand what it means to pray for the peace of Isra’el or Jerusalem.  In praying for them, we are praying for ourselves as well.  The “grafted in” crowd (the Gentiles) are also the “commonwealth of Isra’el.

11 Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— 12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:11-13 NKJV)

11 Therefore, remember your former state: you Gentiles by birth — called the Uncircumcised by those who, merely because of an operation on their flesh, are called the Circumcised — 12 at that time had no Messiah. You were estranged from the national life of Isra’el. You were foreigners to the covenants embodying God’s promise. You were in this world without hope and without God.  13 But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood.  (Ephesians 2:11-13 CJB)

Let us pray with understanding that we might be completed in His peace and give glory, honor and praise to YHVH –for His mercy truly does and always will endure forever.

The Seriousness of Syria & the USA

Syria, the U.S., Isra’el & the Church Folks

So we look at the news and we hear about Syria killing its innocent citizens, including women and children.  The U.S. is very guilty of this same manslaughter, as we have killed countless millions of innocent children in the wombs of women; and spiritually killing a part of the men and women who consent to this.  Yet, we want to remove the speck in others eyes, without first dealing with the big ugly plank in our own eyes that prevents us from rightly discerning any situation.  There is no true discernment apart from the  Word of YHVH.  Period.

We the Church, the sons and daughters who have entered the covenant of salvation see this playing out over and over again – and sadly, many have not humbled themselves and asked for forgiveness because they are unwilling to face the heinousness of their sin.  YHVH will forgive our sin through Yeshua, but we must first be willing to acknowledge our sin before Him.  He will and can restore us.

12 The Syrians before and the Philistines behind;
And they shall devour Israel with an open mouth.

For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.

13 For the people do not turn to Him who strikes them,
Nor do they seek the Lord of Hosts.
14 Therefore the Lord will cut off head and tail from Israel,
Palm branch and bulrush in one day.
15 The elder and honorable, he is the head;
The prophet who teaches lies, he is the tail.
16 For the leaders of this people cause them to err,
And those who are led by them are destroyed.
17 Therefore the Lord will have no joy in their young men,
Nor have mercy on their fatherless and widows;
For everyone is a hypocrite and an evildoer,
And every mouth speaks folly.

For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still.

18 For wickedness burns as the fire;
It shall devour the briers and thorns,
And kindle in the thickets of the forest;
They shall mount up like rising smoke.
19 Through the wrath of the Lord of hosts
The land is burned up,
And the people shall be as fuel for the fire;
No man shall spare his brother.
20 And he shall snatch on the right hand
And be hungry;
He shall devour on the left hand
And not be satisfied;
Every man shall eat the flesh of his own arm.
21 Manasseh shall devour Ephraim, and Ephraim Manasseh;
Together they shall be against Judah.

For all this His anger is not turned away,
But His hand is stretched out still. (Isaiah 9:12-21)
